KTR makes sensational allegations against Congress

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, speaking at Bowenpally Police Station, strongly criticised the Congress government over the recent developments surrounding BRS MLCs and the treatment of party leaders. He alleged that former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Lakshma Reddy were subjected to unacceptable treatment during the protests and accused the government of using the Assembly Speaker to divert attention from its failures. KTR said MLC Thatha Madhu had clarified that his remarks were not directed at the Speaker and had expressed regret if the Speaker was hurt. He also objected to the suspension and arrest of BRS MLCs and alleged that the government was using the police to suppress opposition voices and protests.

KTR also criticised the Congress government over what he described as the non-implementation of several election promises and raised issues concerning farmers, students, government employees, pensioners and the poor. He questioned the government over pending fee reimbursement, irrigation, public-sector benefits, jobs and welfare commitments, and alleged that Telangana’s interests were being compromised in matters related to Krishna and Godavari waters. He demanded clarity on the Nagarjuna Sagar water schedule and the use of Kaleshwaram water for farmers. KTR further alleged that the government was displaying authoritarian tendencies and warned that BRS would continue to hold the Congress government accountable throughout the remainder of its term. He also demanded an apology over the alleged treatment of women leaders Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Lakshma Reddy.
