BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao stated that nearly 2 TMC of water can be lifted daily from the Kannepalli pump house without any connection to Medigadda. He said the lifted water could be used to fill reservoirs such as SRSP, Lower and Mid Manair, Mallanna Sagar, and Baswapur, thereby addressing irrigation needs across the Godavari basin. Citing inputs from retired engineers, KTR alleged that the current drought-like situation in the state is not natural but politically induced by the Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Addressing a press meet at Telangana Bhavan, KTR claimed that water at 96.79 meters is available at Kannepalli and around 9 TMC is going waste daily. He criticized the government for not utilizing these resources while Andhra Pradesh is lifting Godavari water at Pattiseema. He further accused Revanth Reddy of lacking understanding of the Kaleshwaram project and acting out of political vendetta. KTR also challenged the Chief Minister to prove survey claims and demanded either by-elections or early polls, asserting that people would support BRS.
