BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) attended the Singareni Karmika Garjana public meeting in Godavarikhani and criticised the Congress government. He described Ramagundam as a land of struggles and recalled how the coal belt region rallied behind K. Chandrashekar Rao during the Telangana movement. Praising Singareni workers for their contributions to both coal production and political movements, KTR alleged that power supply problems had increased under Congress rule. He claimed that farmers were being forced to take to the streets to demand electricity.
KTR further alleged that coal production at Singareni had declined under the Congress government, falling from 70 million tonnes to 58 million tonnes. He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of conspiring to privatise the company and alleged that the Chief Minister’s brother-in-law was exercising influence over its affairs. KTR also claimed that corruption and irregularities were widespread within Singareni and said the state was returning to the difficult conditions of the past. These allegations have not been independently verified.
