Professor Kodandaram has criticized Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, stating that he is unnecessarily escalating controversies and turning individual differences into regional conflicts. He said there are multiple ways to express disagreement if one is dissatisfied with statements, instead of escalating matters to police cases.
He further alleged that from the beginning, the Bharatiya Janata Party has not been favorable towards Telangana and accused the party of influencing narratives through Pawan Kalyan. Commenting on recent tensions, he questioned whether such issues should be addressed in Hyderabad or in Andhra Pradesh. He also said that if the DISCOM system benefits farmers, it is acceptable, but the government must clearly define its objectives.
