Union Minister and BJP leader G. Kishan Reddy criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that making baseless allegations against constitutional institutions and spreading misinformation had become a pattern for him. Reddy accused Gandhi of attempting to create doubts among the public by targeting the Election Commission without first examining the relevant legal facts. The Election Commission has described Gandhi’s allegations regarding Form 6 as misleading and issued a clarification. However, the issue remains politically contentious, with the Supreme Court also raising questions over the reported changes to Form 6.
Kishan Reddy further alleged that Gandhi raises controversies whenever he faces politically difficult circumstances. He referred to the allegations made by Gandhi during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the legal proceedings related to his remarks concerning the Modi surname. Reddy also criticised Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission and his recent claims concerning Form 6, describing them as part of what he called a pattern of misinformation by the Congress.
