Kishan Reddy Hits Back at Rahul Gandhi

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy responded to remarks made by Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led government. Reddy criticised Gandhi’s comments on constitutional institutions, democracy, foreign policy and the Prime Minister’s personal relationships, saying such remarks were inappropriate. He also questioned whether democracy exists only when the Congress wins elections.

Kishan Reddy further alleged that Gandhi’s remarks reflected his frustration over electoral setbacks and said that criticising democratic institutions and elected leaders was not appropriate. His comments came amid an ongoing political exchange between the Congress and BJP following Gandhi’s recent allegations concerning the Election Commission and the conduct of elections. The Election Commission has rejected Gandhi’s allegations, while the BJP has criticised his statements.
