KCR to Launch Direct Mass Movement Against Congress Government: Harish Rao

A BRS Legislature Party meeting was held at Erravelli under the chairmanship of party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao to discuss the strategy to be followed during the Assembly and Legislative Council sessions beginning tomorrow. Speaking to the media after the meeting, former minister and BRS deputy floor leader Harish Rao said the party would question the Congress government over issues concerning farmers, students, employees, women and other sections of society. He said the BRS would demand that the Assembly sessions be conducted for at least a month to enable a comprehensive discussion on public issues.

Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government had neglected major irrigation projects, including Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy, and said KCR would personally lead a mass movement in the coming days against the government’s alleged approach. He also said the BRS would raise issues including restrictions on agricultural land under Section 22A, power cuts, alleged shortcomings in loan waivers, cancellation of Polytechnic GO 97, Singareni-related allegations, PRC and DA issues, and the EHS scheme. He further alleged delays in fee reimbursement were affecting nearly 30 lakh students and said the party would intensify its fight on their behalf. Harish Rao also criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks against KCR and said the BRS would take its campaign to the people.
