The ongoing leadership issue within the Karnataka Congress remains unresolved, with no consensus yet reached over the speculated chief ministerial change. Amid growing political buzz, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal clarified that there was no discussion regarding a change in the Chief Minister’s post during the recent high-level meeting. He stated that the discussions were focused solely on the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
However, political speculation continues to intensify within Congress circles. Reports suggest that the party high command is considering sending Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to the Rajya Sabha while elevating Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to the Chief Minister’s position. Though no official confirmation has been made, the leadership transition debate continues to remain a hot topic in Karnataka politics.
