Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday participated in the Praja Seva Abhiyana at Periyapatna in Mysuru district and personally received petitions and grievances from members of the public. The programme, organised under the theme of taking government services closer to citizens, was aimed at providing a platform for people to directly bring their problems to the attention of the administration. Shivakumar instructed officials to examine the petitions and take appropriate action.
The programme was attended by ministers, elected representatives, senior officials and other public representatives. The initiative focused on strengthening direct engagement between the administration and citizens and ensuring that grievances are routed to the concerned departments for necessary action. Officials had also been instructed to arrange department-wise counters and record the petitions through the Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System.
