Kalvakuntla Kavitha Seeks Fast-Track Approval for New Political Party!

Kalvakuntla Kavitha has reportedly applied to the Election Commission of India on January 23 to register a new political party named ‘Telangana Praja Jagruthi’. Seeking an expedited review, she approached the Delhi High Court, requesting directions to the Commission to process her application under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

During the hearing on February 27, the Election Commission’s counsel informed the court that the application contained several deficiencies and that a communication had already been sent to Kavitha on February 23. However, the hearing was adjourned to March 19 after her senior counsel sought time due to hospitalization. The petition is scheduled to come up for hearing again on Thursday.
