Kalvakuntla Kavitha revealed key details about her upcoming political plans during an informal interaction, stating that a new party will be officially launched in the first week of May after identifying an auspicious date. She emphasized that the party’s name will prominently include “Telangana,” reflecting its regional identity and commitment. Kavitha said she may contest elections from anywhere in the state, with Siddipet as her first preference and Bodhan as the second option. She asserted that her party aims to emerge as the principal opposition force in Telangana and claimed that the BJP would not have a significant presence in the state’s political future.
She further stated that discussions are ongoing through nearly 50 committees to shape party policies and organizational structure. Until the GHMC elections, the party will contest under a temporary election symbol, while alliances may be considered for MPTC and ZPTC polls. Kavitha highlighted youth empowerment as a major priority and claimed that several BRS leaders are in touch with her, adding that details would be revealed at an appropriate time. She defended women leaders in politics, saying female politicians are unfairly criticized compared to men, and reiterated that her party’s mission is to build a socially inclusive Telangana driven by people-centric governance.
