K. T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), demanded the immediate removal of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar from the Union Cabinet. Speaking at the ‘Naa Booth – Naa Bhavishyathu’ training program organized for BRS booth-level agents in Hyderabad’s LB Nagar constituency, KTR alleged that injustice had been done to a minor girl and accused both the Congress and BJP of failing to ensure justice.
KTR claimed that the BRS party and its affiliated organizations fought for justice for the victim and stated that the investigation would not be fair unless Bandi Sanjay was removed from his ministerial post. He alleged that the accused was protected for several days and that the victim’s parents were intimidated. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” slogan, KTR said justice cannot be limited to slogans alone and called the incident a matter of concern for both Telangana and the country.
