Former minister and BRS leader T. Harish Rao strongly criticized Telangana minister Jupally Krishna Rao, alleging that his approach changes frequently with challenges and shifting positions. Speaking at an extended BRS party meeting in Sangareddy, Harish Rao said Jupally failed to stand by his challenges. He pointed out that the minister initially said he would visit Telangana Bhavan but later changed his plan and went to Gun Park, while police allegedly prevented others from reaching there.
Harish Rao also targeted the minister over statements related to state debt. He said Jupally himself admitted that ₹1.77 lakh crore debt was incurred after coming to power. He accused the Congress government of inconsistencies in figures related to FRBM loans taken from the RBI and claimed the total debt under Congress stood at ₹1.86 lakh crore. He alleged that the government was attempting damage control by misrepresenting facts.
