The counting for the Jubilee Hills by-election began at 8 AM on Friday. In the first three rounds, the Congress maintained a clear lead over its rivals.
Round 1:
Congress: 8,911 votes
BRS: 8,864 votes
BJP: 2,267 votes
By the end of this round, Congress candidate Naveen Yadav held a 47-vote lead.
Round 2:
Congress: 9,691 votes
BRS: 8,609 votes
BJP gained an additional 317 votes
After the second round, Naveen Yadav’s total lead widened to 2,216 votes.
Round 3:
Congress continued to stay ahead in the third round as well. By the end of the first three rounds, the Congress had established a strong 3,400-vote lead.
As counting progresses, the contest in Jubilee Hills is drawing more attention.
