Strict security measures have been implemented by the police for former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Ibrahimpatnam. Restrictions have been imposed, preventing people from Thiruvuru, Gampalagudem and Vissannapeta from entering Vijayawada. Police are reportedly stopping YSRCP leaders heading from Thiruvuru to Ibrahimpatnam, while party members argue that the police have no right to stop them.
In view of Jagan’s visit, police issued notices to YSRCP leaders Jogi Ramesh, Velampalli Srinivas and Devineni Avinash. They have been instructed not to organize rallies or protests and to ensure public convenience. During his visit, Jagan will console Jogi Ramesh’s family. The route map has been planned from Tadepalli through Varadhi, Gollapudi and Guntupalli to Ibrahimpatnam and Jagan’s tour will follow this route as requested by the police.
