Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly criticised the state government after ganja and liquor bottles were reportedly found in a vehicle belonging to two sub-inspectors near Shankavarappadu in Addanki mandal. In a post on X, Jagan questioned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, asking how people could trust the system if the police machinery itself was allegedly involved in wrongdoing. He termed the incident a reflection of the alleged deterioration of institutions in the state.
Jagan also alleged that the two SIs had organised private parties where liquor and ganja were consumed and that several TDP leaders were reportedly present. He demanded an impartial investigation and strict action against those responsible. In another post, he questioned the suspension of representatives of teachers’ associations who had travelled to Delhi with his party’s support to seek an exemption from the TET for in-service teachers. He demanded that the suspensions be revoked.
