State Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu strongly criticised YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that he rewarded leaders who made derogatory remarks against late leader Vangaveeti Ranga. He recalled that Gautam Reddy, who had earlier made objectionable comments questioning the killing of Ranga, was later honoured with the post of AP FiberNet Chairman. Ramanaidu said it was ironic that accused in the Vangaveeti Ranga murder case are now preaching morality while being part of the YSRCP. He also mocked Mudragada Padmanabham for speaking on Kapu issues, stating that he was lowering his stature merely to please Jagan. Ramanaidu addressed the media at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri.
He further stated that the Kapu reservations introduced by the TDP government between 2014 and 2019 were scrapped immediately after Jagan came to power. Questioning Jagan’s silence over the abusive remarks made by YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu against Chandrababu Naidu, Ramanaidu asked why no party action was taken. He alleged that while minor social media posts led to arrests during YSRCP rule, leaders making extreme statements today are spared. According to him, Ambati Rambabu is being used as a pawn to divert public attention from the Tirumala adulterated ghee controversy.
