Jagan Did Not Hoist National Flag on Independence Day - YSRCP Sources

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reportedly did not hoist the national flag on Independence Day this year. Jagan was in Bengaluru and shared an Independence Day message on X on Saturday morning. However, no photographs or official communication were released from his side or from the YSRCP regarding a flag-hoisting ceremony in Bengaluru. YSRCP sources reportedly said that Jagan did not participate in a flag-hoisting programme. The issue has since become a topic of discussion within political circles.

Meanwhile, Independence Day celebrations were held at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, where former minister and Leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana hoisted the national flag. The contrast between the party’s central office celebrations and the absence of a reported flag-hoisting ceremony by Jagan has drawn political attention. Jagan’s Independence Day message on X was his publicly visible participation in the celebrations, while the party office released no reported announcement or photographs of him hoisting the flag in Bengaluru.
