Mamata Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress is witnessing intense internal turmoil following its defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections. Several party leaders have openly raised allegations against the leadership of Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. The party recently suspended three spokespersons — Riju Dutta, Kohinoor Majumdar, and Kartik Ghosh — for six years over alleged anti-party activities, further escalating tensions within the organisation.
Former TMC spokesperson Riju Dutta made sensational claims stating that he had criticised BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari in the past due to pressure and threats from the party leadership. He also apologised to Suvendu publicly on X and praised the BJP for supporting him during difficult times. Former cricketer and ex-minister Manoj Tiwary alleged that candidates were asked to pay ₹5 crore each for election tickets. Other leaders accused the party leadership of disrespecting senior members and creating an inaccessible political environment.
