Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan’s recent ‘Dishti’ comments have sparked strong political reactions in Telangana. Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Vakiti Srihari condemned his remarks, stating that Pawan was speaking without proper understanding and making comments that insult the people of Telangana. Komatireddy, who also holds the Cinematography portfolio, demanded that Pawan Kalyan issue an immediate apology. He warned that if Pawan does not apologise, not a single film of his would be allowed to run in Telangana, adding that if he says sorry, one or two films might be permitted.
Minister Sreehari also said that statements that create bitterness between regions are unacceptable. He stressed that political leaders must be responsible with their words and avoid remarks that could provoke regional tensions.
