Former YSR Congress Party MP Vijayasai Reddy made key political remarks in Tirupati, announcing that he would soon launch a new political party. He said the proposed party would seek to bring together people from all castes and religions. Vijayasai Reddy also claimed that the party would emerge as the third-largest political force in the state.
Reddy also spoke about the Tirumala laddu controversy, saying that adulteration had indeed taken place but denying the presence of animal fat in the ghee used. He claimed that the previous government had purchased ghee at prices ranging from ₹320 to ₹400 per kilogram. According to him, pure ghee currently costs more than ₹1,000 per kilogram.
