I came out like a washed pearl – Kavitha

Former MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla expressed happiness after receiving a clean chit in the liquor case. She said that truth has ultimately prevailed and described the case as a result of political harassment. Kavitha stated that she was falsely implicated but has now emerged “like a cleansed pearl” after proving her innocence.

Calling the liquor case a political conspiracy, she said people did not believe the allegations. She added that the verdict has strengthened her faith in the judiciary. Kavitha also mentioned that she faced criticism for three years and spent five years in jail. She thanked her supporters and well-wishers who stood by her during difficult times.
