Telangana Minister Vakiti Srihari strongly reacted to the statements made by BJP leaders over the suicide of Mahadevappa, BJP’s sixth ward candidate in Makthal municipality. Calling the incident deeply tragic, the minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mahadevappa’s family. He criticised the BJP leadership for making insensitive remarks and alleged that the death was being politicised for electoral gains, which he described as unethical and inhuman.
Minister Srihari stated that he has always opposed factional and confrontational politics and believes in healthy democratic practices. Recalling his political journey from sarpanch to ZPTC member and MLA, he said he has never harmed anyone in his career. He categorically denied any involvement in Mahadevappa’s suicide and asserted that he is ready to face any consequence if proven otherwise. The minister assured that the government would conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident and urged the media to present facts responsibly.
