Telangana Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) strongly condemned what she termed as deliberate misinformation campaigns against her during the world-famous Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Maha Jatara. Addressing the media at Medaram, the minister expressed anguish over false narratives being spread intentionally to tarnish her image. She asserted that she is an Adivasi daughter who lives with integrity in thought, word, and deed, fighting relentlessly for tribal identity and self-respect. “I am not someone who runs away from challenges. I am someone who stands firm for devotees and the people,” she declared.
Seethakka stated that the government successfully conducted the historic Jatara and is efficiently completing post-festival works as well. Over 5,000 sanitation workers were deployed to restore cleanliness in and around Medaram, and she appreciated the police personnel who worked tirelessly day and night. She acknowledged temporary traffic congestion due to heavy VIP movement but clarified that special arrangements ensured smooth darshan near the Ghatamma temple and prevented major road accidents. Highlighting the benefits of permanent infrastructure, she noted that daily footfall surged from 1–2 lakh earlier to nearly eight lakh devotees in a single day after the completion of the permanent temple structures. The minister assured that lessons learned from this year’s Jatara would help ensure a completely congestion-free festival in the future.
