High Court Responds to YSRCP Petition

The YSR Congress Party has approached the High Court alleging that its official Facebook account was deliberately blocked as part of a conspiracy by the government led by N. Chandrababu Naidu. Taking note of the petition, the High Court expressed concern over the issue and decided to examine the matter in detail. The development has sparked political attention, with the party claiming that its digital communication platform was unfairly targeted.

The court has directed the central and state governments, along with Meta Platforms, to provide a detailed explanation regarding the blocking of the account. Notices have been issued, asking all parties to file their counters with complete information. The bench comprising Chief Justice Justice Lisa Gill and Justice Justice Raghunandan Rao passed these orders, emphasizing the need for clarity on the matter.
