Harish Rao, YS Sharmila Demand Withdrawal of Cases Against Prof. Nageshwar

BRS leader Harish Rao and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief YS Sharmila Reddy have strongly criticised the alleged filing of cases against Professor Nageshwar, demanding that the Andhra Pradesh government immediately withdraw them. Harish Rao stated that despite Prof. Nageshwar unconditionally withdrawing his remarks, continuing legal action against him reflects a vindictive approach and is not justified.

YS Sharmila also condemned the move, calling it unfortunate and inappropriate for the coalition government. She said filing cases even after the professor clarified and withdrew his comments indicates political vendetta. Both leaders urged the Andhra Pradesh government and the coalition administration to immediately revoke the cases and avoid targeting intellectuals and public voices.
