Former Telangana minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao strongly condemned the arrest of licensed surveyors who were staging a peaceful protest at Survey Bhavan. He said the government should address their legitimate demands instead of suppressing their voices through arrests. Harish Rao termed the arrests undemocratic and urged the authorities to resolve the surveyors’ long-pending issues.
Harish Rao questioned how around 6,500 surveyors across Telangana could survive without receiving any payment for nearly a year and asked how they could support their families under such circumstances. He demanded that the government immediately release the arrested surveyors and hold talks with licensed surveyors to find a solution to their problems.
