The process for appointing two Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) in Telangana has moved forward after the Governor’s approval. Shiv Pratap Shukla has signed the file, giving clearance to the candidatures of Mohammad Azharuddin and M. Kodandaram.
This development is important as Azharuddin is set to complete six months as a minister by the end of this month. As per rules, he must become a member of the legislature within this time to continue in his position. With the Governor’s approval now in place, the process is expected to move ahead smoothly.
The decision is seen as a key administrative step in Telangana politics, ensuring both leaders can take up their roles formally without any delay. It also brings clarity to the ongoing discussions around these appointments.
