The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has received permission from Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to prosecute former Telangana minister K. T. Rama Rao in the Formula E car racing case. KTR has already appeared before the ACB multiple times as part of the investigation into alleged financial mismanagement connected to the event.
The case involves accusations of misusing nearly ₹54.88 crore allocated for the Formula E racing project. Earlier, the ACB submitted a formal request to the Governor, stating that they had substantial evidence pointing to KTR’s involvement. After reviewing the request, the Governor has now granted approval for prosecution. With the approval secured, the ACB is expected to file the chargesheet in the case in the coming days, advancing the investigation into its final stages.
