Former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao has criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his ministers, alleging that they have made it a practice to shift the blame for their mistakes onto government officials. He said it was unfair to hold officials responsible for electricity-related problems and claimed that the power crisis was the result of the ruling government’s failure. In a post on X, Harish Rao alleged that inadequate coal reserves and a lack of attention to the power sector had contributed to electricity shortages and power cuts.
Harish Rao also alleged that the government itself was responsible for errors in the list of prohibited properties. He criticised the reported warnings against officials over the issue, arguing that they should not be made scapegoats for administrative mistakes. Taking a swipe at the Chief Minister, he remarked that Revanth Reddy should ensure that the public and government officials do not cost him his position. These remarks form part of the BRS leader’s criticism of the state government’s handling of power supply and administrative issues.
