The tenure of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) council comes to an end today, paving the way for a major administrative overhaul. The Telangana government is set to issue official orders to bifurcate GHMC into three separate municipal corporations, aiming to improve governance and civic administration.
Officials have confirmed that office infrastructure for the three new corporations has already been prepared. The move is intended to ensure better delivery of civic services and more efficient administration. The state government is also planning to conduct GHMC elections within the next six months, marking a significant development in Hyderabad’s urban governance.
