In a major land scam involving government properties worth thousands of crores in Gandipet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, former YSRCP MLA Bollam Brahmanayudu and his gang have gone absconding after allegedly creating fake government orders (GOs). When Cyberabad police conducted searches at his residence in Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh, he was not found. Other accused, including Bollam Ramesh, Kovvuru Sunil, and two others, are also on the run.
Police teams have traced their movements to various locations in Hyderabad, Kerala, and Karnataka, but they have not yet been apprehended. Investigators are also probing the larger conspiracy behind the fake GO racket, including attempts to sell the encroached land to third parties. Meanwhile, cybercrime officials are investigating who first circulated the fake GOs on social media. In a parallel development, police have reportedly identified links of another YSRCP leader with the main accused, including financial transactions and residential proximity in a luxury apartment complex in Kadapa district.
