The tragic stampede at Sri Kasi Bugga Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srikakulam claimed nine lives and left several devotees seriously injured. Authorities fear the death toll may rise further. Minister Atchannaidu and TDP MLA Gouthu Sirisha visited the site to oversee relief operations. Meanwhile, former minister and YSRCP leader Dr. Seediri Appalaraju rushed to the spot to assist the injured. Being a doctor himself, Appalaraju immediately performed CPR on several victims, trying to revive them and provide oxygen support where needed. He actively participated in rescue operations along with local YSRCP members.
Videos of his actions are now circulating widely on social media. Unlike most leaders who simply review situations, Dr. Appalaraju personally stepped in to provide medical aid — a gesture that earned widespread praise. Netizens and YSRCP supporters lauded him, saying he truly lived up to the saying “Vaidyo Narayano Hari,” calling him a real-life hero for acting swiftly to save lives.
