The Jubilee Hills by-election, one of the most closely watched contests in Telangana politics, began this morning at 7 AM and will continue till 6 PM. Voters turned up in good numbers, and the atmosphere across the constituency is energetic and vibrant. Apart from common voters, several film celebrities residing in the Jubilee Hills area are also taking part in the polling. Renowned filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, actor Ali, and television host Suma Kanakala are expected to cast their votes in the Madhura Nagar and Shaikpet polling centers.
Given the large number of film workers in the constituency, the Film Federation has announced a holiday, suspending all shoots for the day to allow them to vote. However, while stars like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun live in the Jubilee Hills locality, their votes fall under the Khairatabad constituency, so they will not be voting in this by-election.
The by-election has attracted attention from across the state, with an intense triangular contest between the Congress, BJP, and BRS. Senior leaders and film stars are urging citizens to exercise their right to vote responsibly.
