Allegations of election code violations have emerged in Guntur, where flex banners featuring Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders are reportedly displayed across several parts of the city. The banners include those of an MLA and TDP leaders aspiring to secure the mayor’s post, according to the allegations. Their presence has raised concerns among opposition leaders, who question whether the display of such banners is in accordance with the election code currently in force.
YSRCP leaders have reportedly expressed anger over the issue, alleging that municipal officials are failing to take action despite the banners being visible across the city. They have questioned the authorities’ response and called for the matter to be addressed. The issue has brought the conduct of municipal officials and compliance with election regulations into focus. However, the alleged violation and the status of any official action would need to be confirmed through statements from the concerned authorities.
