Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami launched a sharp attack on the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government and Chief Minister Vijay over the recent political developments involving rebel MLAs. Palaniswami alleged that the ruling party was attempting to lure legislators and accused TVK leaders of encouraging defections for political gain.
Criticizing the rebel MLAs, Palaniswami remarked that they resigned on the ground floor and wore the scarf of a new party on the first floor, indicating a pre-planned political move. He further stated that leaders who came to power using cinema popularity would eventually face public judgment. His comments have intensified the political war of words between AIADMK and TVK ahead of the upcoming political battles in Tamil Nadu.
