The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued notices to former YSR Congress Party MP Vijayasai Reddy in connection with the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam. The central agency has directed him to appear before the ED on the 22nd of this month as part of its ongoing investigation into the case.
The ED suspects large-scale financial irregularities, including hawala transactions and money laundering, during the implementation of the state’s liquor policy. Officials believe that several political leaders, government officials, and private individuals were involved in the alleged scam. The issuance of notices to Vijayasai Reddy has triggered political discussions, with the agency seeking clarification on his role as it prepares for further action based on evidence collected so far.
