Political developments in Karnataka have intensified with strong indications that Siddaramaiah may resign from the Chief Minister’s post on Thursday. According to reports, Siddaramaiah is expected to host a breakfast meeting for ministers and MLAs before heading to Raj Bhavan to submit his resignation to the Governor. The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) is likely to meet later in the day to formally elect a new leader amid growing speculation over a leadership transition in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar is emerging as the frontrunner for the top post, with reports suggesting that his swearing-in ceremony could take place on May 30. Political activity has intensified in Bengaluru as party leaders continue discussions over the transition. While the Congress leadership has not made an official announcement yet, supporters of DK Shivakumar have already begun celebrations anticipating his elevation as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
