Telangana Jagruthi chief K. Kavitha expressed serious concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process being carried out by the Election Commission in Telangana. She alleged irregularities in voter additions and deletions in Kodangal and Bodhan constituencies. Kavitha claimed that nearly 30,000 duplicate votes existed in Kodangal before the previous Assembly elections, including around 11,000 voters allegedly linked to Karnataka’s Sedam constituency.
She also questioned the deletion of nearly 7,000 votes in Bodhan within a short period, while only 808 votes were removed in Kodangal. Kavitha demanded that the Election Commission clarify the basis for these changes and address concerns regarding interstate duplicate voters. She urged the Commission to develop a permanent mechanism to prevent duplicate voting and ensure free and fair elections across the country.
