Delhi Tense Over NEET Protest

Large numbers of students and youth gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to protest against the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and the reported paper leak. The protesters demanded comprehensive reforms in the education system and a thorough investigation into alleged leaks in several competitive examinations. They also raised slogans seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and urged the Central Government to respond immediately.

Tensions escalated during the 'Chalo Parliament' protest called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Delhi Police stopped the rally, stating that permission had not been granted, leading to a heated argument between protesters and police personnel. According to reports, police later resorted to a lathi-charge to disperse the crowd, resulting in heightened tension around the Jantar Mantar area.
