CPI Narayana Questions Police Handling in Bandi Bhagirath POCSO Case!

Senior CPI leader CPI Narayana criticized the handling of the POCSO case against Bandi Bhagirath, raising serious questions over the role of the police and the state government. Referring to conflicting statements made by police officials and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Narayana alleged that the law enforcement system had come under scrutiny.

Narayana stated that while the police claimed they had arrested Bandi Bhagirath, Bandi Sanjay reportedly said that he himself had sent Bhagirath to the police station. He further alleged that the state government failed to arrest the accused immediately after a POCSO case was registered. Narayana clarified that he was not demanding an encounter, but questioned why even a formal arrest was delayed in such a serious case.
