Union Minister Bandi Sanjay criticized the Telangana Chief Minister, stating that it is inappropriate to use such language against former CM KCR while holding the CM’s position. “A person in the CM’s office should act with dignity and sensitivity. Such language should not be used again,” he advised CM Revanth Reddy. On Thursday, Bandi Sanjay spoke to the media at the BJP state office.
He noted that Telangana residents are actively discussing the CM’s remarks. Sanjay asserted that there is no political force in Telangana greater than the KCR family and accused the family of causing widespread mismanagement in the state. He highlighted issues such as the injustice to Telangana regarding Krishna waters and the allocation of only 299 TMCs out of 575 as major shortcomings during KCR’s administration. Sanjay also mentioned that the then-CM Jaganmohan Reddy had acknowledged these issues during the Apex Committee meeting and that he is prepared to make past agreements public if necessary.
Sanjay described the promise of only Rs. 5 lakh per panchayat as laughable and questioned why the panchayats are being provided less than the funds they are entitled to. He demanded that each panchayat should receive an average of Rs. 1 crore. He also announced that the central government is set to release Rs. 3,500 crore for the panchayats. Furthermore, Sanjay questioned why six guaranteed schemes, funded by taxes paid by Telangana residents, have still not been fully implemented.
