CM Vijay's Surprise Hospital Visit Wins Public Attention

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay made an unannounced visit to the Government Hospital for Women and Children in Egmore, Chennai, to review healthcare services. Accompanied by Health Minister Dr. Arunraj and senior officials, he inspected different wards, interacted with new mothers, and enquired about treatment quality, medicines, hygiene, and patient care.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with doctors and hospital staff regarding maternal and child healthcare services. He instructed officials to improve hospital infrastructure and ensure timely, transparent, and corruption-free healthcare. The visit comes after social media posts highlighted alleged issues related to hygiene and bribery in government hospitals, with videos of Vijay interacting with patients and newborns now widely shared online.
