CM Revanth Reddy’s Sangareddy Visit Should Focus on Development: MLA Chinta Prabhakar

Ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to Sangareddy district, BRS MLA Chinta Prabhakar wrote an open letter urging the government to use the visit to address long-pending development and irrigation issues instead of limiting it to political publicity. He called for immediate allocation of funds and faster execution of the Sangameshwar-Basaveshwar lift irrigation projects, which are proposed to provide irrigation to around 3.84 lakh acres across 19 mandals and nearly 397 villages in the Sangareddy, Zaheerabad, Andole and Narayankhed constituencies. Prabhakar said completion of the projects would provide a permanent irrigation lifeline to farmers who currently depend largely on rainfall and strengthen the rural economy.

The MLA also urged the government to complete pending development works, including wage and non-wage market yards in Sangareddy and Sadasivpet, SDF and TUFIDC-funded projects, the Mini Haj House, the Atmakur-Singur road and MRR roads. He sought the immediate opening of completed minority residential school buildings, extension of the metro rail from Isnapur to Sangareddy, development of Mahabub Sagar lake as a recreational and tourism destination, and special funds for temple infrastructure. He also requested that a Young India Integrated Residential School Complex (YIIRSC) be established in the Sangareddy constituency. Prabhakar said previous promises should be implemented through government orders, fund releases and commencement of works, rather than being confined to announcements.
