In a high-level review meeting, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issued a stern call to action for his cabinet colleagues regarding the upcoming Municipal Elections. The CM has set an ambitious target for the Congress party to sweep at least 90% of the seats across 116 municipalities and 7 corporations.
All ministers have been ordered to head to their respective districts starting tomorrow to spearhead the election campaign.
The CM expressed concern over "rebels" and internal dissent. He directed ministers to pacify dissatisfied leaders and ensure they actively participate in the campaign. Furthermore, he requested TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud to take strict disciplinary action against those who refuse to comply.
CM Revanth shared insights from three internal surveys, pinpointing specific municipalities where the Congress party is currently trailing. He tasked the ministers with focusing extra effort on these weak spots.
In-charge ministers are now required to submit daily reports to the CM's office detailing the political situation and campaign progress in municipalities under their respective parliamentary jurisdictions.
