

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended warm congratulations to Indian women’s cricketer Sri Charani, who played a key role in India’s recent Women’s World Cup victory.
Sri Charani, accompanied by former Indian captain Mithali Raj, met the Chief Minister at his camp office on Friday morning. Minister Nara Lokesh welcomed both players. CM Naidu praised Sri Charani for bringing glory to the nation, saying, “Her victory is a reflection of India’s women power. She stands as an inspiration to millions of aspiring female athletes.”
The cricketer shared her World Cup moments with the CM and Minister Lokesh, who appreciated her dedication and contribution to Indian cricket. Earlier, Sri Charani received a grand welcome at Gannavaram Airport, where Andhra Cricket Association president Kesineni Chinni, secretary Sana Satish, ministers Anita, Savita, Sandhya Rani, and SHAP chairman Animini Ravinaidu felicitated her.
Later in the day, she is scheduled to visit the Mangalagiri Cricket Stadium before heading to her hometown Kadapa, where a victory rally and public felicitation are being organized in her honor.
