As part of the “Matsyakara Sevalo” program, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Tummalapenta coastal village in Kavali, Nellore district. He visited fisherman Tanangari Babu’s house, enquired about his family’s wellbeing, and interacted closely with the local fishing community.
The Chief Minister inspected the foundation stone laid earlier by former CM NTR for cyclone-affected fishermen housing. He spoke with fisherwomen selling fish, enquired about sales, and even purchased fish from them. He also discussed welfare measures with locals, who highlighted the need for boats, nets, and better infrastructure. The CM reportedly assured consideration for 200 mechanised boats. Later, he joined the family for lunch and personally participated in cooking activities.
