Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the administration of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is a sacred responsibility that must be handled by individuals of impeccable integrity and devotion. He criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of turning the TTD into a platform for political interests. Jagan claimed that despite receiving a complaint from a woman prior to the elections against the current TTD chairman, no action was taken and the same individual was appointed, thereby damaging the temple’s sanctity.
He further alleged negligence in the quality control of ghee used for Tirumala laddu prasadam. According to Jagan, even after certain consignments were reportedly rejected by the TTD lab, the same ghee tankers were allowed back and used in laddu preparation, as mentioned in the CBI-SIT charge sheets. He also questioned the higher procurement rates allegedly linked to a Heritage-associated dairy, claiming the issue was being politicized. Jagan asserted that these developments reflect a lack of devotion and commitment in temple administration.
