Former minister and BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy has accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of attempting to target Telangana’s irrigation projects. He alleged that Chandrababu wrote to the Godavari River Management Board (GRMB) seeking a review of seven projects completed by Telangana and that the issue was included in the meeting agenda. Jagadish Reddy criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy for allegedly failing to respond to the issue.
Jagadish Reddy further claimed that after KTR’s warning, the Irrigation Engineer-in-Chief (ENC) was asked to write a letter seeking withdrawal of the review proposal. Questioning claims by BJP MPs that the issue was never on the agenda, he asked why the ENC letter was issued. He demanded that the review of the seven projects be removed from the GRMB agenda and warned that BRS cadres would attend the meeting and protest if the issue was not withdrawn.
