The Central Government has taken an unusual decision by removing four private secretaries attached to Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav. Though four separate orders were issued on the 3rd of this month, they came to light only on Tuesday, with no reasons disclosed. Those removed include the Private Secretary, Assistant Private Secretary, and two Additional Private Secretaries.
Amar Singh, an Indian Revenue Services officer of the 2010 batch, was appointed as Private Secretary in June 2024 and was supposed to serve until September 7 this year. However, he has been relieved early and sent back to his parent department. The appointment of Assistant Private Secretary Siddharth Yadav has been cancelled with immediate effect. Additional Private Secretaries Ayush Sharan and Shailesh Kumar Singh have also been removed.
